Our Team We are a dedicated group of educators, mentors, and industry professionals passionate about youth development. Our team works tirelessly to create meaningful programs that inspire and uplift young people.
The National Youth Development Initiative (NYDI) is a non-profit organization committed to empowering youth from disadvantaged communities in South Africa. Since 2016, we have provided impactful programs designed to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to reach their full potential.
Tshepo Konopi founded NYDI with a vision to bridge the gap for youth in underprivileged communities. Through mentorship, career guidance, and leadership development, NYDI helps learners unlock opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.

At NYDI, we believe in a holistic and hands-on approach to youth development. Our programs are designed to equip learners with practical skills, real-world experiences, and the confidence to navigate their future careers successfully.
